The preferred travel partner of Direct Ferries, Stena Line
has been voted the best overall ferry operator by many travel
organisations across the UK & Europe. No other ferry operator
offers more choice of crossing style.
Our
modern fleet includes the Stena HSS (High-speed Sea Service),
the world's largest fast ferry, is the ideal choice if time
is of the essence when travelling to Ireland or Holland.
The HSS, the size of a football stadium, is powered by jet engines
and is capable of speeds of up to 46 mph.
The Stena HSSs operate on:-
Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire - 99 minutes crossing time
Stranraer to Belfast - 105 minutes
Harwich to the Hook - 3 hours 40 minutes
The
new Stena Forwarder is the fastest conventional ferry on the
Irish Sea making the crossing from Holyhead to Dublin Port in
approximately 3 hours, around 45 minutes faster than the vessel
it replaced on this route. The Stena Forwarder is also the first
ferry to arrive in the Irish capital in the morning, so passengers
miss the bottlenecks caused by the morning rush hour.
Stena
Line operates a traditional ferry on its Fishguard to Rosslare
route, that allows journeys to be made at a more leisurely pace
and with the full benefit of our extensive on-board facilities.
The sleek Stena Lynx complements this route and whisks you across
the South of Ireland in less than 2 hours.
If
Holland is your destination, our North Sea fleet offers two
distinctly different styles of crossing, the HSS a state of
the art luxury journey, offering the fastest direct route to
Holland or a relaxing overnight cruise on the ferries Stena
Britannica and Stena Hollandica.
